Illegal timber-laden vehicle seized

TURA, May 28: An Assam-bound vehicle, laden with illegal timber, was intercepted jointly by the members of FKJGP Garo Hills zone and the patrolling staff of GHADC Forest team on Friday.
The vehicle (AS 34 C 0478), which was reportedly intercepted around 11:35 pm near the Okapara village playground in  South West Garo Hills district, was found to be not carrying a valid pass.
The vehicle along with the seized timber was then handed over to the in-charge of the GHADC Ranger Forest Office in Tura, West Garo Hills.
