SHILLONG, June 10: The PWD (Buildings) on Thursday formally issued a work order to the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) to investigate the collapse of the dome of the under-construction Assembly building at Mawdiangdiang on May 22.
A senior PWD (Buildings) official on Friday said IITG will have to sign an agreement with the state government before taking up the job.
The agreement is likely to be signed in a day or two, the official added.
“We have given them two month to complete the probe. We are expecting them to start the investigation from next week,” the official said.
