Int’l Yoga Day
The International Day of Yoga 2022 will be observed at NEHU Convocation Hall from 5:30 AM. The programme will be attended by Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, John Barla, as chief guest and Health and Family Welfare Minister James PK Sangma as guest of honour.
Office-bearers
Office-bearers of the newly constituted Ri-Bhoi District Trinamool Congress Students’ Union were recently elected. They are Paiabaskhem Kharkongor (president), Nicky Nongrang (vice president), Novin Nongpluh and Balajied Kharkongor (general secretaries) Nicholas Syngkli (secretary) among others members.
Unclaimed body
A male patient named Ramu Sharma (70) of Motinagar, Shillong, was admitted to the geriatric ward, Bed No. M-3, at 11.38 am on May 27. According to the Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital, Shillong, the patient passed away on June 17. The official has requested all concerned to collect his body from the hospital morgue, failing which it will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
