SHILLONG, June 29: Former South Tura MLA John Leslie K Sangma on Wednesday joined the BJP and spared no time in delivering a barrage of attacks against the saffron brigade’s rivals. Sangma had joined the party along with 12 others.
Stating that there is a barrier created by vested interest to paint the party as communal, he said, “I believe by working with BJP, I can take the message to the people that this is a misconception.”

Hek maintained that with good leaders working to work with, the party should look towards achieving the ultimate goal of a BJP-led government post 2023 assembly polls.
