SHILLONG, June 29: Adding fuel to speculations that some All India Trinamool Congress MLAs are likely to switch over to other parties ahead of the 2023 assembly polls, four legislators skipped the official programmes held on Wednesday which were attended by the party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
Himalaya M Shangpliang, Shitlang Pale, Jimmy D Sangma and Marthon J Sangma were not present during the inauguration of the party office at Lachaumiere and the meeting held at U Soso Tham auditorium.
AITC Meghalaya leaders were mum on the absence of the four MLAs.
