NEW DELHI, July 7: Meghalaya has bagged the ‘Most Promising New Destination’ title given away at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Hyderabad 2022 which prompted Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to heap praise on the Tourism department along with a congratulatory note.
This honour is viewed as a significant boost to the sector, which showcases the tranquil fairyland of Meghalaya ‘Abode of Clouds’, intertwined with rich cultural legacy, pastel-green meadows, lofty pine groves and forest trails.
Taking to Twitter, the Meghalaya Tourism wrote: “We are pleased to announce that #MeghalayaTourism was awarded the MOST PROMISING NEW DESTINATION title at the Travel and Tourism Fair Hyderabad 2022 on the 5th & 6th of July 2022 (sic).”
In his tweet, Conrad said, “Another award for Meghalaya! Meghalaya was awarded the MOST PROMISING NEW DESTINATION title at the Travel and Tourism Fair Hyderabad 2022. Big congratulations to Team @meghtourism (sic).”
It may be mentioned that TTF is India’s leading exhibition for the travel & tourism sector. Since 1989, TTF has been providing an annual opportunity to organisations from India and overseas to showcase their products and services to a large cross-section of the travel trade industry and consumers across key markets in India.
