MCA to conduct U Tirot Sing Syiem Memorial chess tourney

SHILLONG, July 12: The Meghalaya Chess Association in collaboration with Khasi Students’ Union will observe the 187th death anniversary of U Tirot Sing Syiem by organising the Third Tirot Sing Syiem Memorial Rapid Chess Championship 2022 on July 16, from 9 am onwards at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, in Shillong. The chess tournament will be for Open and Under-13 categories and will be conducted under the Swiss system of six rounds with a duration of ten minutes and five seconds of increment for each round.
