Bethany Society in collaboration with Enable India, Bangalore, will conduct a two-month skill development programme on ‘Computer Fundamental Course for Person with Visual Impairments’ at its campus in Shillong. “This programme will be followed by a six months advance course,” a statement in this regard said, adding that the inauguration of the skill development programme will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday.
An SHG mela-cum-credit camp in Mylliem C&RD Block will be held on Friday at Umlyngka village during which various activities will be taken up. The programme will be attended by C& RD Minister Hamletson Dohling and Nongkrem MLA Lambor Malngiang as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Resignation
Organising secretary of the NPP state unit Premananda Koch has resigned from his post as well as from the primary membership of the party. Koch, in his letter to the NPP state president, has said that he has resigned due to personal reason.

South West Garo Hills District Magistrate has directed all meat sellers in the district to abstain from open display of meat in their shops and maintain hygiene.
