Shillong, Aug 10: Meghalaya State BJP President, Ernest Mawrie today stated that BJP Meghalaya would  be soon restructured by bringing about organisational changes right from state office bearers to district and all mandals  and all inactive mandals would reorganized, according to a Press release.

“The party will try to achieve booth level organisation in near about 20 plus constituencies where the winning stake is high, by the end of September. The state election committee will be notified at the earliest. Reports of MLAs joining us will be welcomed and we shall ensure 5-10 sitting MLAs joining  us by November.,” he said.

“There are 5-6 aspiring candidates in some constituencies with whom we are trying to strike a formula in which all candidates will work together for the party. Those whose survey report is good, will get the ticket.

“If needed we will soon restructure the organisational setup in all mondals. The party will take a decision after getting a report from booth level sashaktikaran abhiyan committee.

“In some of the cases where an aspiring candidate or sitting MLA from another party is keen on joining BJP, then we will advise our party karyakartas to facilitate joining of  the aspiring candidate. The party will ensure that the procedure for full organisational restructuring will be completed by this month and the state election committee will scrutinize all the requirements as per the constitutional mandate of the party,” the state BJP president said.

The state BJP will soon launch a programme for large scale membership drive in all mandals in its endeavour to achieve double-digit in the next Assembly election in the state.
