The world is constantly changing, and that means that the need for different kind of professions is also expanding. Over the past ten years, we have seen a number of new job titles introduced, with these positions being among the most desirable by candidates. This is something that is likely to continue to evolve over the past ten years too, as companies look for new ways to separate themselves from the crowd.

Among the most popular types of job that has become very popular is that of virtual assistants, with the position becoming exceptionally popular in locations such as India due to their strong language skills when it comes to speaking English. But, what makes a good virtual assistant and what must their main skills be in order to excel?

What Is A Virtual Assistant?

Virtual assistants have become exceptionally popular across a range of different sectors over the past ten years or so, as they offer customers additional help online. A range of companies are now offering this service to customers, as consumers are able to get a dedicated experience when shopping with the company. Virtual assistants often need to think proactively, as it will be their responsibility to help the consumers with what they are trying to achieve. That includes being able to speak directly to the customer in their preferred language, and also build a relationship between the consumer and the company.

There are a lot of different sized companies now looking to employ virtual assistants, including small starts ups and big multi-billion pound companies. Virtual assistants are a slightly more affordable way to offer something new to the customer, as it will help ease overhead prices for the company as the vast majority of virtual assistants will not be in-office. Therefore, virtual assistants can work from anywhere in the world, as long as they have a sound internet connection.

What Other Jobs Can You Do Remotely?

The success of the virtual assistant position has only led to a greater number of companies looking to find other jobs that employees can do remotely. This process has been sped up due to the impact of COVID-19 over the previous couple of years, as more and more people have been working from home. But, what other jobs can workers do from the comfort of their own home?

Tutors

Education was one of the sectors that were hit hardest during the pandemic, as the majority of schools were closed, and parents had to take on extra responsibilities when it came to teaching their children. However, tutor roles remotely increased dramatically between 2019 and 2020, with 20% growth found in the sector.

The pandemic meant that many educational establishments were looking for new areas of growth, and homeschooling made tutors become a more accessible option for those looking for specialist help. Tutors have quickly become the new normal for many during this period, and the only sector is now expected to reach $153 billion by 2025.

Translation

The pandemic also led to a rise in jobs for those with very specific skills. Translator jobs are expected to be a sector that will continue to rise until 2029, with the industry expected to grow by 20%. This has offered a very career opportunity to those that are bilingual and has offered these people the chance to use their very unique skills for a wide range of massive companies.

It has especially seen success when it comes to freelancing roles, as many companies look to expand their demographic and try and experience further success in a number of new countries. Due to the employees in this sector having very specific skills that very few have, the pay in this industry has grown massively over the past couple of years, and that only promises to continue in the future.

Live Casino

The casino industry has been one that has been thriving for a number of years now, and that only continued during the pandemic, as players looking for new ways to keep themselves entertained. The technology within the industry has been accelerating the experience of the customers, which has led to a need for more live casino dealers. Huge sites such as Betway offer a number of massive roles for those with experience in the sector, with games such as the Betway online roulette being supplied by massive gaming companies such as Microgaming.

This is something that only looks to continue over the coming years, as the need for more people within these roles is expected to grow with a number of exciting changes on the horizon. Among some of the most exciting developments is virtual reality technology, which will give players the most life-like experience they can imagine without leaving the comfort of their own home. The growth in the sector means that even more jobs will be available over the coming years, and the pay is also expected to support the long hours that will be needed.
