TURA, Aug 31: The United Democratic Party (UDP) on Wednesday announced the candidature of Subroto G Marak for the upcoming assembly elections from Mendipathar.
The announcement was made during a meeting in Mendipathar, North Garo Hills, which was attended by senior party leaders, including the UDP working president.
Subroto, who was earlier with the NPP as a possible candidate for the seat, quit the NPP before joining the UDP along with his supporters in what is expected to be a close fight in the Mendipathar constituency.
