The Office of the Accountant General (Audit), Meghalaya, Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, and Regional Training Institute, Shillong, jointly celebrated the closing ceremony of ‘Hindi Fortnight’ in the city on September 29. According to a statement, the speakers in the programme highlighted the importance of Hindi language. “The main objective of organising Hindi Fortnight is to make non-Hindi speaking personnel proficient in Hindi language by organising various competitions relating to Hindi language,” the statement said, adding that prizes were also given away to the winners of various Hindi competitions.
