Base laid for vocational training centre in WKH

NONGSTOIN, Oct 6: Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of Vocational Training Centre here, which includes training centre for persons with disabilities, as part of the observance of World Mental Health Day.
Sanctioned at Rs 35 lakh under Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund 2021-22, the project will be implemented by the Nongstoin Social Service Society (NSSS).
Byrsat, in his address, lauded the efforts of the NSSS towards the uplift of the society and informed the gathering that the approach road from PWD road Tiehsaw towards the NSSS office will soon be constructed.
Others who were part of the programme include NSSS president Fr. Rolandus Lyngdoh, NSSS Director Fr. James Anderson Syiemlieh, officials from various departments, et al.
