NONGSTOIN, Oct 13: The Court of Special Judge (POCSO), West Khasi Hills, has convicted one Emanuel Marwein on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old from Sohparu, West Khasi Hills, in May 2017.
According to the judgment, he was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 25,000 under Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012. For another offence under section 506 Part-Il of India Penal Code, the convict was sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment.
