Science Congress
As part of the 30th National Children’s Science Congress 2022, a State-level Children Science Congress will be held on Thursday and Friday at Shillong College Auditorium from 9.30 am onwards. According to a statement, a number of Science projects under various categories will be present during the two-day event. The eight best projects will then be selected for state representation at the national level of the same programme, which will be held in Gujarat from January 27 to 31, 2023.

West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (Election) has informed that the special summary revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2023, as the qualifying date, and the draft photo electoral roll for Nongstoin (ST), Rambrai Jyrngam (ST), Mawshynrut (ST) assembly constituencies have been made available for inspection at the Office of the Electoral Registration Officer/Asst. “Claims and objections of wrong inclusion or left-out voters may be filed by any eligible elector of electoral roll under the assembly constituencies directly to the office of the Electoral Registration Officer/Asst,” a statement in this regard said.

Programme
Members of the Assam Club in collaboration with the Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students’ Association will observe the 11th death anniversary of veteran Assamese singer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika at 4:30 pm on November 5 on the club premises. A cultural function will also be organised during the day.

Unity run
An 8.7-km Run for Unity was on Monday organised by the Office of the District Sports Officer in collaboration with the District Administration and District Sport Promotion Society, West Khasi Hills. The Run for Unity was attended by around 60 people, including locals. Winners of the Run for Unity, under men and women categories, were also provided cash prizes and certificates.
