Governor BD Mishra has extended his greetings on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti 2022. In a statement, he also exhorted one and all to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev and rededicate to the cause of humanism, justice and brotherhood. “May we imbibe the noble teachings of the Guru in our daily lives and strengthen the bonds of unity and solidarity in our society,” he said.

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the Urdu Society of India, Shillong, recently organised a prize distribution ceremony for various competitions organised for the children at U Soso Tham auditorium. It has also extended greetings to Sikh community on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti 2022.

The IWC Pine City Shillong and Rotary Club of Cherry Blossom Shillong in association with Hulladek had organised a webinar on e-waste. According to a statement, an e-waste collection drive has also been initiated by the clubs in Shillong. “The webinar was successful in spreading awareness about the meaning of electronic waste and the proper means of disposing it,” the statement said.
