Ahead of Christmas, Polo Towers hosts cake-mixing ceremony

SHILLONG, Nov 14: With Christmas around the corner, Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong, hosted a cake-mixing ceremony here on Monday.
Cake-mixing is traditionally done to celebrate the advent of Christmas and the start of winter festivities.
A statement in this regard informed that the cake-mixing ceremony was headed by Executive Chef with the kitchen team, Managing Director, General Manager and HODs. “Hotel Polo Towers, Shillong, had an abundant amount of colourful cherries, dates, plums, assorted dry fruits, dried figs, glacé cherries, mixed spices, almonds flakes and many more ingredients to incorporate together in the cake mix!,” the statement said.
“The attendees of the event were resident and non-resident guests as well as the members of the Polo Family! It was a fun and an all-inclusive celebration!,” it added.
