Cleaning drive
The Lumshyiap Dorbar Shnong will hold its annual cleaning drive on December 12 from 8 am onwards. Dorbar Shnong secretary KP Phawa, has, meanwhile, urged the residents to participate in the cleaning drive. The landowners from the locality have also been asked to report in the office of the Dorbar a day prior to the cleaning drive.
The Wahingdoh Dorbar Shnong will hold its annual cleaning drive on December 10 from 7am till 1pm. Dorbar Shnong Wahingdoh general secretary Farewell Nongkynrih has urged the residents to take part in the cleaning drive. It was also informed that the Dorbar Shnong has decided to disallow parking of vehicles throughout the locality road during the hours of the cleaning drive.
Plaint
Several groups from South West Garo Hills have complained to the officer-in-charge of Taxation in West Garo Hills against a particular teer counter in Ampati. Alleging that the teer counter has been functioning without a licence, the groups have called for stringent action against the ones responsible.
