SHILLONG, Dec 20: The Symbol of Sneh Society will organise North East Sustainable Fashion Show next year in a bid to provide a platform to artists to showcase their talents.
Informing this, SSS founding member Preeti Thapa said that the event will be open for all without age barriers, and height and gender criteria. “We want to introduce plus-size models,” Thapa said, adding that the audition for the event will be held on December 28 at Youth Hostel.
Informing that the goal of SSS is to promote local youths, talents and music as well as to save the environment, Thapa said they are planning to engage youths to take up social issues through the medium of entertainment and fashion.
She also informed that they are also involved in raising awareness on Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
Meanwhile, popular Khasi actor Sweety Pala said the event is meant for the upcoming performers.
