Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Cody Gakpo for a fee between £35- £45 million from PSV, the Dutch club have announced.Liverpool’s rivals Manchester United were interested in Gakpo in the summer, when they instead signed Antony from Ajax, but reports suggested they were considering a move for the Netherlands international in the upcoming January transfer window. United manager Erik ten Hag has spoken of his desire to sign a forward next month after Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract was terminated in November. Gakpo scored three goals in the Netherlands’ run to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

Mykhaylo Mudryk
Arsenal have submitted an opening bid of around €65 million for Shakhtar winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, The 21-year-old is Arsenal’s top transfer target in January, and the club have made an early formal move which is well short of Shakhtar’s 100million and is likely to be rejected. Mudryk is open to the move, and there is confidence from within Arsenal that Shakhtar will soften their stance over the fee in due course.

Chelsea are working to sign a new left-sided centre-back in January, and the leading candidate is AS Monaco’s Benoît Badiashile. And while there is no agreement”in place just yet, multiple sources believe he will join in the weeks ahead for around €35 million. Badiashile was first linked in the summer, who’s since made his international debut with France as well.
