SHILLONG, Jan 7: Former West Shillong MLA and NPP candidate Mohendro Rapsang on Saturday launched his election campaign in front of supporters at Mawprem.
Rapsang had recently resigned from the Congress and joined the National People’s Party (NPP).
Speaking to media persons, he admitted that no election is easy. However, my hard work for the last four and half years and the support of the people will reap rich dividends, Rapsang said.
He said that he is prepared for the electoral battle and will outdo his opponents with the support of his people.
It may be mentioned that the meeting was attended by Rapsang’s supporters, who took turns to highlight the contributions during his tenure as the MLA.
It may be mentioned that Rapsang will lock horns with UDP leader Paul Lyngdoh and state BJP president Ernest Mawrie.
