Interactive programme with partners of FOCUS held in Resubelpara

Tura, Jan 18: Timothy D Shira, Deputy Speaker & Resubelpara MLA on Wednesday interacted with hundreds of FOCUS and FOCUS + partners at Bakra MFC in Resubelpara.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest during the program, Timothy D Shira reiterated about the benefits being provided to the people of the region through various schemes of the government.  Speaking in particular on the financial assistance provided through FOCUS,FOCUS +, YESS et al; he said that though the monetary grant might be little in amount but if channelized in the right direction, it is encouraging enough to enhance any business activities.

With the mission being to uplift the livelihood of the farmers, the government is committed to bring  development and growth through its public welfare schemes, he added.

Affirming those beneficiaries who are yet to receive the financial support, Shira said since there are thousands of beneficiaries from all corners of the state and the transaction process being done in Shillong, it might take a little while to reach the beneficiaries’s accounts. He therefore reposed faith among the beneficiaries to be patience in receiving the financial assistance.

Others who spoke during the program were Deputy Commissioner R P Marak, Superintendent of Police, Shailendra Bamaniya, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leena Daring and EAC, Liam T G Momin.
