Ex-HSPDP MLA now in saffron fold

NONGSTOIN, Jan 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday got a further boost in West Khasi Hills after former HSPDP MLA Diostarness Jyndiang and his supporters were inducted into the party during a meeting at Bishop Hall, Nongstoin.
The programme was attended by party leaders, including Sanbor Shullai, AL Hek, HM Shangpliang, as well as hundreds of BJP supporters.
Jyndiang, while addressing the gathering, said that BJP is the only party that loves the people and the country the most, and that he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join the saffron fold.
Hek, who also addressed the meeting, said that the
BJP’s presence should not only be felt in Delhi but also in Meghalaya.
Shullai, on the other hand, said that after joining the BJP he could ensure that developmental activities reach the people of his constituency.
