Eugeneson says UDP can lead next govt

NONGSTOIN, Feb 1: Mawphlang MLA and UDP Chief Youth Adviser, Eugeneson Lyngdoh has exuded confidence in the UDP to obtain a majority in the Assembly polls.
Lyngdoh was speaking during an election campaign for UDP Nongstoin candidate Polestar Nongsiej at Madan Riewblei of Umyiap area on Wednesday which was attended by scores of people. According to him, UDP is the only party which can lead the new government.
Pointing out how MLAs are publicising the implementation of schemes, Lyngdoh said the job of a legislator is to argue on issues that affect the electorates and introduce laws to better their lives.
On sports in the state, the former India international footballer lamented that there was not a single proper playground in Nongstoin even as he recalled the many talented sportspersons that Nongstoin has produced in the past.
