Call to citizens to exercise franchise

Tura, Feb 16: South Garo HIlls District Election Officer , S.Awasthi on Thursday called on eligible citizens from the district to come and exercise their right to vote and participate in voting on February 27.

In a brief programme organized at Baghmara Main market area, to increase the citizen participations in the electoral process and to promote voters literacy, Awasthi urged the citizens to make use of their rights to elect their representative.

As part of the programme, a play on Ethical Voting was presented by the NSS cadres of Capt Williamson Memorial Government College, while two  SVEEP Icons of the District also performed during the Programme.
