SHILLONG, March 9: Shakliar Warjri, who has become the youngest minister in the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) 2.0 Cabinet, has revealed that he will prioritise working for the uplift of the youths of Meghalaya.
The 27-year-old HSPDP MLA, who has been allotted Sports & Youth Affairs, Labour and Registration & Stamps departments, added, “I always had an interest in politics when I was very young. It is for this reason I decided to join mainstream politics and contest in the elections.”
When asked if his lack of expertise in politics and administration can be an impediment to his functioning, he said, “Yes, it is a new experience and I can definitely improve as time passes by.”
