Fire in WKH village engulfs house

NONGSTOIN, March 16: One house in Umshynrut village in West Khasi Hills was gutted by fire on Thursday afternoon.
According to sources, the house belonged to one Brostar Tyrsa and the loss has been estimated at more than Rs 10 lakh.
It was also informed that the incident occurred when no one was present there. The actual cause of the fire, however, is yet to be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, the victim has apprised the Mawshynrut Block Development Officer of the matter for relief.
