Numerous activities mark Yuva Utsav in Shillong

SHILLONG, March 18: A slew of activities, some of which included painting, poetry and mobile photography competitions as well as declamation contest and cultural festival, marked the one-day Yuva Utsav, in the state capital on Saturday.
According to a statement, the Yuva Utsav, thematised on Panch Pran and India@2047, was organised under the aegis of the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Shillong.
Participated by around 200 people, the Yuva Utsav held several activities for the youths of the district at the Shillong Jail Road Boys’ Higher Secondary School.
“The departments of National Health Mission, Meghalaya, State Tuberculosis Office, Sports Office, DJD, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Yuva Art and Craft exhibited their developments at the venue to further acquaint the youths of the overall progress in the state,” the statement said.
The programme was also attended by various district officials.
