The other contest, between Zone 2’s East Garo Hills District Cricket Association and North Garo Hills DCA, in Williamnagar, ended in a draw.
On Wednesday, SCA-A made 260 in the first innings and had reduced the B team to 52/6 by stumps. On Thursday they completed the rout by dismissing their opponents for 68, enforcing the follow-on and then bowling them out for a second time for 61.

The sole resistance came from Soham Agarwal, who made 38 not out in SCA-B’s second innings. Lohar, who had also made 75 with the bat, was adjudged Player of the Match.
The other match saw play resume with EGH on 125/7, a few runs behind NGH’s first innings total of 134 all out. EGH were eventually bowled out for 193, getting there thanks to Paisal Ali’s 41. Jakrasil Chuseng Marak did not add to his tally of six wickets from Wednesday and finished with figures of 6/61.
Rituraj Rabha then made an absolutely sensational score of 165, which came off just 111 deliveries, for NGH in their second innings. His monumental innings included 11 fours and 18 sixes as his team were restricted to 225. Ali took 4/50 and Namgrik K Sangma 3/84.
This gave EGH a target of 167 for victory and they were not far off – on 141/6 – when play ended. Chanang Sangma almost got his team over the line with a fine 60, while Jakrasil took 3/27 and Rituraj 2/29. Rituraj was named Player of the Match.
