SGH, EKH bag big-margin wins

Shillong, March 24: South Garo Hills District Cricket Association defeated West Jaintia Hills DCA by a massive 133 runs in the U-14 Girls Inter District T20 Tournament 2023 at Nongstoin on Friday.
The other match saw East Khasi Hills Cricket Association beat West Khasi Hills DCA by eight wickets.
Made to bat first after losing the toss, SGH made a phenomenal 197/6 in their 20 overs with Dejiansua M Sangma top-scoring with 38 not out, with Magdaline M Sangma making just one run less with 37. Carieyoka Lyngdoh claimed 3/44 and Anastesia S Shullai 2/40.
In the chase, WJH were skittled for 64, with Sawakahi Syngkon (24) the lone batter who managed a good score. Shreya R Marak (2/1), Dejiansua (2/6) and Awesaina S Marak (2/14) bagged a brace of wickets each.
In the other game, EKH won the toss and opted to field and they were able to restrict WKH to 78/7 in a reduced 15 overs. Extras contributed 44 runs to the total and only Mendy Adreena L Mawlong (10) got to double figures. Habandarisha Shangpliang (3/10) claimed the best figures.
Forty-six extras were conceded by WKH in the second innings, while Sharaisuk Marpna hit an unbeaten 14 and Eliza Lyngdoh 10 not out as EKH made 78/2 in 10.4 overs.
