Convocation
The IGNOU Regional Centre, Shillong, will join the 36th Convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the main function for which will be held in New Delhi. According to a statement here, the programme in the national capital will be attended by President Droupadi Murmu as the chief guest. Similarly, the programme at Regional Centre Shillong, NEHU Campus, Umshing-Mawkynroh, will be attended by Governor Phagu Chauhan as the guest of honour.

Direction
South West Garo Hills District Magistrate G Kharmawphlang has ordered all medical stores within the district, selling scheduled ‘H’ and ‘X’ drugs, to install CCTV cameras in their premises with immediate effect. A statement in this regard informed that violation of the order will be dealt with strongly as per relevant section of the law.

Programme
William Carey University, Meghalaya NSS, Unit-III, organised a waste management and segregation awareness programme and cleaning drive on Friday in Umkdiat, Nongmensong, as part of a special camp. According to a statement, the programme was attended by more than 150 participants.

Inauguration
A new office building for the Mawshynrut circle of the KSU has been inaugurated at Mawthengkut, Mawshynrut, by the Union’s Central Executive Council president Lambok Marngar. During the inaugural programme, meritorious students were also felicitated by the KSU. The programme was attended by current and former members of KSU, headmen, students, et al.
