Coronavirus on the rise, 3,824 test positive in India

Shillong, April 2: As many as 3,824 persons tested positive for the Coronavirus in the country in last 24 hours raising the caseload by 28%.

The number of daily Covid cases in the nation was 3,095 on Friday and 2995 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, according to the latest data, there were 18,389 active patients overall accounting for 0.04% of all infections (4,47,22,605). The number of recoveries, on the other hand, increased to 4,41,73,335 (98.77%), and as of now, 5,30,881 lives have been lost as a result of the epidemic, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health.

In terms of immunisation, the nationwide vaccination campaign that started on January 16 two years ago has provided more than 2.2 billion doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. This comprises 2,799 dosages that were given within the last 24 hours.
