In one of its most recent happenings in town, Courtyard by Marriott Shillong has announced the launch of its patisserie and boulangerie Shillong Baking Company. Located within the hotel, the Shillong Baking Company offers its inhouse guests and visitors an array of delectable baked goods, pastries and beverages. From breads, cakes, cookies, and pastries 
like the ‘Red Velvet’, soft and comforting, the gorgeously red dessert is a favourite among many. There is also the ‘Soft Centred’, decadent chocolate cookies filled with gooey pockets of Belgian Chocolate, and the ‘Coconut’, generously filled within and out with coconut, as the name suggests makes for a chewy treat. The selection menu also includes a list of beverages to choose from such as the ‘Ristretto’, ‘Flavoured cappuccino’, ‘Cafe Latte’, ‘Emerald Green Tea’, ‘Mystical Assam Tea’, ‘Spice Carnival Red Tea’ to name a few. Some of the signature desserts of the Shillong Baking Company are the ‘Strawberry danish’, ‘Butter and chocolate croissant’, ‘Local fresh fruit cheesecake’. The bakery is also on the works to kickstart an assortment of sugar free alternatives to relish.
The Shillong Baking Company makes for a perfect spot to congregate with friends for an indulgent experience or even for those looking 
for a quick bite and/or a leisurely snack. The menu offers a fusion of a traditional patisserie and a modern spin on fresh bakes, adhering to standards of quality and taste. Celebration of occasions can also now be made special with personalised cakes for birthdays, 
anniversaries, and other events inspired by current fashion, custom-made for its clients.
Each treat from coffee and fresh and flavourful pastries are baked at dawn, while the more substantial bites, all are masterfully crafted by the in-house pastry chef, Shanti Priya Manna. The outlet features an Interactive baking area that is always creating the next irresistible treat.
