SHILLONG, April 28: Troops of BSF Meghalaya Frontier on Thursday seized cosmetic items worth Rs 31 lakh along the Indo-Bangladesh border in East Jaintia Hills.
The consignment, which was dumped in the jungle area close to the border, was seized by the troops of the 172 Battalion of the BSF near the border outpost at Hangaria, East Jaintia Hills.
Following the seizure, the cosmetic items, which were meant for smuggling to Bangladesh, were handed over to the customs.
