Raid Ialong holds Noh Sakyriat festival

JOWAI, April 28: The Raid Ialong on Friday organised its annual Noh Sakyriat festival at Ryngkaw ground.
Earlier in the morning, the Raij had performed the traditional religious ceremonies, viz. Kñia Thoh Ryngkaw and Kñia Syiem Duwan at Lawkyntang near Ialong Park and the Kñia Syiem Duwan in the premises of u Lyngdoh.
Former Umroi MLA, Ngaitlang Dhar, who was part of the festival, stressed on the need to preserve the traditional practices and culture.
He also urged the youths to preserve their rich culture and tradition and also to follow the traditional religion, which were passed on by the forefathers.
