Shillong, May 4: Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine of using drones to assault the Kremlin overnight with the goal of killing President Vladimir Putin who was immediately shifted to a bunker. The Ukrainian government, though, has denied knowing about the incident.
This is reportedly one of the most serious charges Russia has brought against Kiev since Kyiv started a military invasion of its neighbor’s land 14 months ago.
The operation has been referred to by Moscow as “a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation.”
According to the Russian news agency TASS, Ukrainian soldiers targeted Vladimir Putin’s presidential house in the Kremlin with two unmanned unmanned area vehicles (UAVs). The Russian service could not, however, identify the kind of drone.
According to the Kremlin, electronic defences prevented two drones from being utilised in the claimed attack on Putin’s apartment inside the fortified Kremlin bastion.
The Kremlin stated that the devices were taken out using “radar warfare systems” by the military and secret services, adding that no one was hurt and no property was harmed.
