SHILLONG, May 4: Chairman of the Regional Committee for West Khasi Hills, Paul Lyngdoh on Thursday said that the committee will be reconstituted by next month after which it would pay a visit to Nongstoin to review the border issue.
He said that he had a discussion with the West Khasi Hills deputy commissioner on the need to select new members for the committee since the old committee has become dysfunctional.
Asked to comment on Langpih which is considered to be the most complicated of the remaining six areas of dispute, Lyngdoh said they would try to come up with the best solution.
Besides Lyngdoh, the West Khasi Hills committee consists of legislators Renikton L. Tongkhar, Methodius Dkhar, Remington Gabil Momin, KHADC Deputy CEM Gigur Myrthong, KHADC member Bajop Pyngrope, and the West Khasi Hills DC.
