Elon Musk meets PM Modi in New York, promises visit to India

Shillong, June 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with Twitter owner Elon Musk in New York on Tuesday during his three-day visit to the United States. Following their meeting, Musk expressed his desire to visit India and announced plans to travel to the country next year.

Musk lauded PM Modi’s leadership and referred to himself as a “fan of Modi.” Speaking at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel, he expressed his excitement about India’s future, stating that he believes India holds more promise than any other large country in the world.

“He really wants to do the right thing for India. He wants to be open and supportive of new companies… I am a fan of Modi,” Musk remarked, praising the Prime Minister’s intentions. He described the conversation with PM Modi as “excellent.”

PM Modi took to Twitter to share about the meeting, mentioning that they had diverse discussions on topics ranging from energy to spirituality. He tweeted, “Great meeting you today @elonmusk! We had multifaceted conversations on issues ranging from energy to spirituality.”

The meeting between PM Modi and Elon Musk highlights the importance of their engagement in exploring various areas of collaboration and mutual interest.
