PM Modi flags off 5 Vande Bharat trains, enhancing connectivity in India

Shillong, June 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated five Vande Bharat trains in Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the country’s transportation infrastructure. The flag-off ceremony took place at the Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal at approximately 11 am.

The five Vande Bharat trains launched by Prime Minister Modi are as follows:

  1. Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express: This train will establish a vital link between the Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) and the Central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh. It will greatly benefit popular tourist destinations such as Bheraghat, Pachmarhi, and Satpura. Additionally, the travel time will be reduced by around 30 minutes compared to the current fastest train on this route.
  2. Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express: Enhancing connectivity in the Malwa region (Indore) and Bundelkhand region (Khajuraho) to the Central region (Bhopal), this train will significantly facilitate travel to important tourist sites like Mahakaleshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Khajuraho, and Panna. The Vande Bharat Express will be approximately two hours and 30 minutes faster than the existing fastest train on this route.
  3. Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: This train holds special significance as it is Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express. Operating between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa’s Madgaon station, it will reduce travel time by around an hour compared to the current fastest train on this route.
  4. Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: Connecting major cities in Karnataka, including Dharwad, Hubballi, Davangere, and the state capital Bengaluru, this train will enhance transportation accessibility within the state.
  5. Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express: This train will establish a crucial link between Hatia and Patna, contributing to improved connectivity in the region.

The introduction of these Vande Bharat trains will not only enhance travel convenience and efficiency but also stimulate tourism in the respective regions. With reduced travel times and improved connectivity, more individuals will be able to explore the cultural, historical, and natural treasures of these areas.
