Shillong, July 3: The Delhi police were alerted today morning when they received a call reporting a drone sighting near the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. In response, a search operation was immediately initiated, but no suspicious objects were discovered.

The Special Protection Group (SPG), an elite force responsible for safeguarding the prime minister, informed the police about the drone sighting at approximately 5 am. Prompted by the alert, the Delhi Police swiftly launched a search operation to locate the drone.

In an official statement, the Delhi Police reported, “We received information about an unidentified flying object near the PM’s residence. Thorough searches were conducted in the vicinity, but no such object was detected. We also contacted the air traffic control room (ATC), and they confirmed that no flying object was observed near the PM’s residence.”

It is worth noting that the residence of PM Modi falls within the red no-fly zone, which prohibits the operation of drones or any aerial vehicles in the area.
