Burnt foetus recovered from forest in Malki

SHILLONG, July 4: In what may be termed spine-chilling news, a burnt foetus was found abandoned in the forest at Malki Khliehshnong near the catholic cemetery, according to the police.
The foetus was found last month, police said, and inquest was conducted on June 18, a day after it was recovered from the forest.
It was later shifted to NEIGRIHMS for post-mortem examination. After autopsy, the foetus was kept at the morgue room of NEIGRIHMS Hospital.
The police have requested anyone who can identify the foetus have been asked to contact 2223069, 2222214 or 2222215.
