PM Modi to be conferred Tilak National Award

Pune: July 10: Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust on Monday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall be conferred the prestigious ‘The Lokmanya Tilak National Award’ 2023 on August 1. The TSMT Trustees, President Dr. Deepak J. Tilak and Vice-President Dr. Rohit Tilak said that the award is being awarded to Modi for the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat which has helped the country climb the ladder of progress, and for awakening the feeling of patriotism among the citizens, and putting India on the global map. The 41st award – in memory of the revolutionary and nationalist freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak (1856-1920) – shall be conferred on Modi on his 103rd death anniversary on August 1, at a function in the Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth here. Congress approves appointments for various party posts

New Delhi, July 10: After days of deliberations, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday announced the appointment of several party leaders to the post of general secretaries, secretaries and district presidents for poll-bound Rajasthan. In an official communication, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said: “Congress President has approved the proposal for the appointment of Pradesh Congress office bearers and Presidents to various District Congress Committees, in the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect.” (IANS)

 

AAP leader’s bail extended till July 24

New Delhi, July 10: The Supreme Court on Monday extended the interim bail granted to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former minister Satyendar Jain on medical grounds in a money laundering case registered against him by the Enforcement Directorate. A bench of Justices A. S. Bopanna and M. M. Sundresh directed senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Jain, to place medical reports on record and extended the interim bail till July 24. (IANS)
