2nd North-East Zone Karate Championship concludes

SHILLONG, July 12: The Meghalaya Karate team of KIO- MSKDF in collaboration with NE Zone karate association organised the 2nd KIO Karate Do Championship held from the 7th to the 9th of July 2023 at Laban Indoor Sports Hall here in the city. altogether 668 karate athletes participated. Assam emerged champions follwed by Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Meghalaya finished at 5th postion. The national referee seminar and examination was also conducted on the 7th of July by referee Kyoshi. Premjit Sen from Kolkata. The medal winners from Meghalaya are: Jefferson Ryndong Gold in Sub Jr. – 35 kgs, Pyniohnam Myrboh Silver in Sub Jr. 35 kgs, Bankhrawnam Ryndong Bronze in Cadet – 50 kgs. Fullshai Myrboh Bronze in Sub Jr. 20 kgs, Wanpynkhraw Marboh Bronze l in cadet 40 kgs, Alfinia Warjri bronzel in Sub Jr. 30 kgs, Eoaka Warjri Bronze in Sub jr. 25kgs, Espiranza Songthiang Bronze in Senior-50kgs, Dakaebaka L.
