Redmi 12: A blend of design and performance in a budget smartphone

Shillong, July 18: Redmi’s latest offering, the Redmi 12, impresses with its sleek design and cutting-edge features. The smartphone boasts a large 6.79-inch FHD display with slim bezels for an immersive viewing experience. The glass back design adds to its premium feel and comfort in hand.

The Redmi 12’s display is vibrant and crisp, making web browsing, video streaming, and gaming enjoyable. The user interface, powered by MIUI 14 based on Android 13, is smooth and intuitive, thanks to its octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor and 90Hz refresh rate.

As per IANS, equipped with a 50MP AI triple camera and an 8MP AI selfie camera, the Redmi 12 shows promising image quality. Further testing will be needed to assess its low-light performance and image stabilization capabilities.

Weighing around 198 grams and featuring a 5000mAh battery, the Redmi 12 is both lightweight and long-lasting. It also offers water and dust protection with an IP53 rating. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
