SHILLONG, July 20: Condemning the incident in Manipur where a mob paraded two Kuki women naked in Kangpokpi district on May 4 and sexually assaulted them as disturbing, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has demanded the strictest action against the guilty.
“This is something that should not have happened and the government must take action against all these people who have done this. This is completely unacceptable and strong action must be taken,” he said.
He said he will write to the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and the Manipur Chief Minister demanding strong measures to address the situation in Manipur.
