Shillong, August 2: Nitin Desai, a prominent art director, was discovered hanging at his N.D. Studios on Wednesday, in what appears to be a case of suicide. The authorities from Karjat Police rushed to the studio for further investigation, but the reason behind the tragic act remains unclear.
IANS reported that his demise comes as a shock, occurring just three days before his 58th birthday on Sunday, August 6. The sudden loss of Nitin Desai has left the Bollywood industry in mourning.
As the police probe the incident, they are trying to ascertain if any suicide note was left behind at the studio or any other location.
Known for his exceptional work, Desai was among the top-tier art directors in Bollywood, contributing to major films like ‘Devdas,’ ‘Lagaan,’ ‘Jodhaa Akbar,’ ‘Harishchandrachi Factory,’ ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,’ and many more.
