Woman found dead in her house in WKH

NONGSTOIN, Aug 6: A woman was found dead in her house in Nongtraw village, West Khasi Hills, on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bibimoris Lyngkhoi.
It was informed that the woman was staying with her husband in the house during the incident.
According to the village headman Endrius Ryntong, her husband rushed to her elder brother at midnight to inform him about the incident. It was also informed that when her family members reached the house, they saw that she was lying dead in a very suspicious manner and looked like she was strangulated.
They started asking questions from her husband, but he disappeared from the scene. The body has been taken to Civil Hospital Nongstoin for post mortem. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered and investigation into the matter is on.
