NH-6 P-1

A large number of vehicles were left stranded near the Lumshnong tollbooth after the KSU Narpuh Circle and Waheh Shnong of Narpuh Elaka shut down the
tollbooth and blocked NH-6 for six hours from 10 am till 4 pm on Tuesday.
They were protesting the negligence of both NHAI and the East Jaintia Hills
district administration in executing repair work on the deplorable highway.
Ambulances, Army and police vehicles were exempted from the blockade.
The NHAI has promised to initiate immediate repair work. (ST)
