Shillong, August 15: Cybersecurity firm SecureWorks has announced its second round of job cuts this year, with plans to lay off 15% of its workforce.

The company, supported by Dell Technologies, disclosed in a regulatory filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the layoffs would result in approximately $14.2 million in expenses, covering severance, termination benefits, and real estate-related costs.

As per IANS, CEO Wendy Thomas stated the need to simplify and scale the business for profitable growth. This move follows a previous 9% reduction in the global workforce in February.

Last week, another US-based cybersecurity firm, Rapid7, also announced a layoff of around 18% of its employees.
