ST Editor flags off two-wheeler service

Shillong, Aug 19: The Editor of The Shillong Times, Patricia Mukhim on Saturday flagged off a two-wheeler service, run and managed by the local group called — Jaiaw Ehrngiew Transport Society (JETS 24/7) at a small gathering in Shillong Press Club.

The local bike-taxi aggregator App was developed by group of young entrepreneurs led by its Managing Director, Pynskhemlang W Uriah.

Uriah said Jets 24X7 is aimed at providing employment to the youth of the state, with a motto to “Uplift Our Own” and has procured license to operate as a taxi aggregator in the state from the transport department.

Aimed at providing employment to the youth of the state, the JETS 24/7 will more or less function in the same way as other players in the market like Uber.
